Join Cub Scout Pack 402

Cub Scouting is a family program for boys in first through fifth grade. A boy in or going into first grade through fifth grade can join Pack 402 at any time of the year, though our annual recruitment drive is held in September. Boys do not have to go to any particular school or live in any particular area to join Pack 402. Cub scout members are assigned to a den based on their grade in school: Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second-graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third-graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth- and fifth-graders).

The 10 purposes of Cub Scouting are:

  1. Character Development
  2. Spiritual Growth
  3. Good Citizenship
  4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
  5. Family Understanding
  6. Respectful Relationships
  7. Personal Achievement
  8. Friendly Service
  9. Fun and Adventure
  10. Preparation for Boy Scouts

How to Join

To join Pack 402, visit the Pee Dee Area Council office at 702 South Coit Street in Florence, SC. There you can fill out the membership form, pay the registration fee ($10 per year, prorated monthly) and purchase supplies if you like. Once you've joined, you'll get a phone call from our Cubmaster about meeting times, who your den leader is, and any other information you'll need to know.
